Hello friends and family!

I hope that your navaidad season is going great! I cannot believe it! Tomorrow I will be flying out of Managua at 7:35am, this requires us to leave our home in Granada at 4am. I will roll into Nebraska at about 6pm. This will be the first time I am home in 7 months. I cannot wait to see all my friends and family and hear of all the wonderful things that God is doing your lives.

This morning I was talking to my sister and she said that today in Nebraska the high will be 8…just 8. I am currently sweating because I am typing so fast. Additonally, there will be 4 inches of snow on the ground when I return home. I cannot wait! (I believe I have already said that…maybe more than once)

However, I am so thankful for my time here in Nicaragua. God has shown himself to me in so many incredible and amazing ways. This past week we were in Ometepe, an orphanage on an Island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua. God worked in so many ways there, in the lives of the children, our team as a whole, and with me personally. I am excited to tell you all about it.

There is one request that I have of you. I also heard that there is going to be a big ice storm tonight in Nebraska and I do not know how far south that will affect. Please keep me in your prayers as I fly into Kansas  City tomorrow. Thanks for everything.

  1. AnnieAm very axious & excited to hear in person about some of your adventures & growing. I just want to say that the storm is suppose to arrive in this area sometime this afternoon/evening. I believe Kansas City may get hit worse than PC but one never knows. Just an FYI-Two of my daughters live only a few miles from the airport IF (GOD FORBID) something should happen that your folks cannot get there or you cannot get out of Kansas City to come home. She works & should be home by 6:00 pm, barring any really bad icy roads. If you need ANYTHING, her phone # is 1-816-217-6931. This is Becky (the one I’ve told you about with all the financial problems) & she would be more than too happy to have some company if need be. She get’s so lonely. She has a little girl, Grace, that is a real livewire & 21 months old.
Don’t hesitate to call if you &/or your folks need ANYTHING!!
I will e-mail her & let her know I gave you her number. Have a SAFE journey & may God be with you & yours. Lyanna
